1:20 PM How RPA has Helped South32 to Increase its Expediting Output Sevenfold Whilst Reducing Costs
As one of Australia’s largest resources companies, South32 manages a highly complex and ever-shifting web of logistics in order to ensure on-time deliveries of materials. Due to size of South32 and the volume of stock which needs to be delivered on time, the expediting workload is high and constant. Over the past year and a half, Marko Clemente has introduced RPA into the expediting process, and through consistent development and testing has been able to increase his team’s output from 20 expedition lines a week to around 150. In this session Marko will discuss his RPA journey at South32, examining the highs and lows of the process implementation and his lessons learnt.
- Viewing RPA as a supplement to labour instead of a threat
- Examining RPA through the lense of productivity booster rather than cost saver
- Integrating RPA to improve current practices
